The areas of the world also have their own distinct art styles and color profiles, which makes it so fun to explore and wander around! You'll meet so many new characters with unique stories. The characters just all have so much personality and humor, even if you have to do all the voices yourself! You really get attached to the main character as well, as you get so much from their dialogue. I also really loved the animations for using the potions, it really lets you live that magical fantasy you came to the game for.Īlthough there aren't any animated cutscenes or voice acting, the amazing use of dialogue and storytelling totally make up for it. You can craft directly from your inventory screen instead of having to go back to a cauldron or your workbench, which makes the pacing of the game that much smoother. I could definitely get lost in the gentle guitar tunes.įinding things is quite easy, the stuff you can harvest will glow as you wander by and you'll get a little dialogue if you don't have the tool to gather it yet. It's light and gentle and will let you enjoy your game with nearly no distractions. The cutscenes are minimalist and the characters are framed in these beautiful frames, it's a unique way to display it and the dialogue is both whimsical and hilarious. No need to wait to unlock more spaces or anything! It's really easy to navigate and we loved the amount of detail you get from the very beginning. The inventory system is quite massive and the pause menu gives your inventory, grimoire, and more, in one place. It's not as cutesy or cozy as some other similar witchy games in the industry, but it's got a very unique style and a good blend of art and RPG.
